Canada PR Point calculator:

To be eligible to create an Express Entry profile with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), a candidate must have to score 67 points under Canada's Express Entry system (IRCC).

Your profile will be evaluated using the following six criteria, in accordance with a points-based system:-

  • Arranged employment
  • education
  • language skills
  • work experience
  • other factors

Your profile should have a significant impact on your ability to immigrate to Canada as a permanent resident through the Express Entry system. The minimum requirement to select in the Express Entry pool, which is 67 points out of 100. Depending on your responses below, this tool will help you determine your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.

Factors to determine your Canada PR Point

Your application will be assessed on a points-based system depending on the below 6 factors:-

1. For age:

The applicants will receive points based on their age. They can earn up to 12 points. The date you mentioned in the application is used to calculate your age.

2. Education

You can receive a maximum of 25 points for schooling in Canada immigration. You must have an ECA report from a recognised university/college if you have completed your education from overseas. The Educational Credential Assessment report determines whether your degrees and diplomas is valid in Canada or not.

3. Experience- Maximum 15 points

Canada work experience will also help you to earn extra immigration points. You can claim the points for full-time working hour job (minimum of 30 hours per week). Equal hour of part-time employment is also acceptable. According to Canada score card, you can only receive a maximum of 15 points for this factor.

4. Language Skills – Maximum 28 points

You can get the Canada PR if you have the good score in Language test. It’s the most important factor to check your CRS score. Your score is checked by your knowledge of either English or French test. Your language proficiency is considered by writing, reading, listening, and speaking ability. You can get you up to 28 points.

5. Canada work-experience – Maximum 10 points

If you have an employment offer from a Canadian employer that lasts at least a year, you can also earn points for your Canada PR. Prior to submitting an application for Canada, you must have a job offer letter for federal skilled worker.

6. Adoptability – Maximum 10 points

Points will be given to you based on your prior education, employment experience, and if you have any relation in Canada. If you are moving to Canada with your spouse or common-law partner, you may also get extra points for adaptation.

Factors to Increase your Canada PR point

Occasionally, IRCC holds draws from the Express Entry pool. Invitations to apply under Express Entry are only extended to those who receive the top rankings, as determined by their performance on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The public is informed of a cut off during an Express Entry draw. The Canadian government invites those candidate who have the top scores to submit an application (ITA) for a PR Visa.

If you clear specific character and medical tests, you will soon be granted a PR visa after receiving an ITA. That will be covered a little later.

The CRS cut-off score varies according to the draws. Your Canada PR point is based on these variables including age, work experience, adaptability, etc. There are various strategies to raise your score if your Canada PR point calculator is showing low score:

1. Improve your language score:

By performing well on language exams like the IELTS, you can raise your CRS score. For instance, if you receive a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 9 on the language test, your CRS ranking will increase by up to 136 direct points. It is possible to earn up to 72 points by showing up for a language test in French.

2. Program for Provincial Nominees:

You will gain 600 more points for your Express Entry profile if you will apply under PNP program.

3. Find a Job [LMIA Approved]:

You can raise your CRS ranking by up to 200 points if you accept a job offer from a Canadian company that has been approved by the Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).

4. Get education from Canada:

You can earn up to 30 more points if you finish an accredited degree or diploma in Canada.

5. Dependent [spouse/common-law partner] included in the application:

You will both receive bonus points if you apply for the visa jointly with your spouse. Your spouse's language ability would be worth 20 points, while your school level and Canadian job experience might each be worth up to 10 points. Thus, this will raise your CRS score by a total of 40 points.

6. Canadian work experience:

You can raise your CRS score by a maximum of 150 points if you have fewer than three years of full-time work experience and continue to work.
